Whether you have a brick wall you are eager to break down or are just getting started in your family tree research, I can help. All research reports will include source citations, a report of all sources consulted, digital copies of all documents found, and suggestions for further research. After you have selected a research package, I will put together a research plan based on your specific goals. I will review the information that you provide me to start with, form a research plan, and complete the research, usually within 2 to 4 weeks. My main research areas are Canada and the United States.

FAQ

How long will it take to complete the project?

All projects are unique. Many projects take 2-4 weeks to complete the research hours, but this varies, depending on many factors, including if we are waiting to hear back from an important DNA match, or waiting on documents to arrive that have been ordered.

Will there be additional expenses?

All documents that are found will be supplied in a digital format with the final report. When appropriate, you will be contacted about the possibility of ordering documents not available through other means and advised of the cost of doing so.

Where are you most experienced in researching?

I primarily research in the United States and Canada. I am especially experienced in New England, Pennsylvania, and Ontario, Canada research.

I am adopted, can you help me find my birth parents?

If you are adopted, are over the age of 21, and have tested at a DNA company such as 23andMe, FTDNA, MyHeritageDNA, or AncestryDNA, I can help you discover your birth family through your DNA matches.

What information do you need to get started?

We start with what you know. I will ask for any names, dates, and locations that you believe to be correct. Before I begin the research, I will work with you on the research plan, and the exact questions you are hoping to have answered.
